Tigers are back on exhibit with a new shelter.

Do you mean Columbus Zoo? Cleveland Zoo is nice too (I like the rain forest Dome), but Columbus' Zoo is still 10x better (than Cleveland's Zoo)!

Cleveland Zoo for the win! Seriously, their new tiger exhibit beats the pants off AK's, at least in my opinion

Nah, stationary tiger with a strobe light. Just as good.

well this is unfortunate for my trip

Well, at the very least, they should dress some CMs up like tigers...

I tried finding some leaves on the Marijuana Jungle Trek but walked away empty-handed. Hopefully the refurb will fix this issue. And don't tell PeTA that they have breeding programs!

I'm a Buckeye alumni, and my last year in college I practically lived at the Columbus zoo - love that place! Hands down one of the best (if not the best) zoo in the United States. With the recent expansions (the Polar and Savannah regions) at the Columbus Zoo, it's getting closer to matching AK in terms of size! On another side note, I would love to get Jack Hanna to improve the atrocious zoos in New England!

Yes, the cat breeding program is doing well! The lion cubs were also fun to watch grow. I think Tomo mostly sleeps. It's good to be king.

:D

Columbus has had much success in breeding both Amur Tigers and African Lions over the last few years. We have 9 lions in Heart of Africa currently, with most of them coming from the last 2 litters of cubs! It's a wonder Tomo (the father) has kept his sanity.

What part is hard to believe? The tigers are off show because they're staring a breeding program. The whole rest of the trail is open.

Hard to believe - the Jungle Trek was closed in Jan 2016 when we were there...just last year...

Glad they are doing this - the place was in ruins........
