The new show scene at the finale of Kilimanjaro Safaris looks close to being ready, with the majority of the finishing touches now in place.

We still don't know for sure what is planned for the area, but it is thought that it will become home to a new species of animal for the safari, possibly goats.

Some type of fencing is marked out in a loop around the building.

Guides on the safari have been calling it a warden's post.

Disney posted a TikTok featuring the goat area on Kilimanjaro Safari. It has footage from within the new themed area, along with the names of the goats. Can watch it here:

I feel my apartment in The Netherlands is about the size of that jeep, though I would also like more stuff.

Well that's one way to do an alarm clock...

The fence is part of the theming. It is there to protect the domesticated goats from predation.

Nahtazu! I'm not very knowledgeable on the layout in this area... Is it possible that the fence is temporary until the goats have acclimated and then they'll be able to roam within a larger animal control zone and interact with the trucks?

I agree that the fence doesn't look great and is a break with the way the rest of the safari works. I actually think it would work better if there were no animals in the enclosure, because then it would look like the fence was supposed to be a barrier to keep animals away from the warden hut rather than something to keep the goats in.

"It's a zoo"?

What else do you want me to say?

JoeCamelDec 16, 2020

Wildebeest? I Can see the fence and moat? Colored monkey butt?

JustInTimeDec 16, 2020

Yep. I totally agree. Worse in person.

The area itself just doesn’t look right. The whole point and dream for the safari was that there is an illusion that the animals can walk up to the car (and some can). This ruins that. I guess the Wild Africa Trek already started it down this path....
