Disney's Animal Kingdom has a new name to know. Masai giraffe calf Ivy has made her savanna debut and is now visible to guests on Kilimanjaro Safaris alongside her mom, Willow.
Born in April, Ivy is growing fast. She already weighs nearly 300 pounds and stands about 7½ feet tall.
Ivy can be spotted on Kilimanjaro Safaris during normal park operating hours. She's been exploring her surroundings and observing the rest of the herd as she settles into life on the savanna with Willow by her side.
Ivy was born earlier this spring at Disney's Animal Kingdom. At birth she weighed approximately 120 pounds and stood nearly six feet tall. She's put on nearly 180 pounds since then.
Masai giraffes are listed as endangered by the International Union for Conservation of Nature, with an estimated 30,000 remaining in the wild. Disney works with the Association of Zoos and Aquariums' Species Survival Plan to support a healthy giraffe population.
Ivy joins an established herd on Kilimanjaro Safaris that includes Tucker, her half-brother born in 2025.
