Construction on the new Indiana Jones attraction at Disney's Animal Kingdom is moving fast.
New aerial photos from @bioreconstruct show the area in front of the former DINOSAUR attraction has been completely stripped - the Dino Sue cast has been removed from its pedestal, and the Aladar Iguanodon statue and water feature at the entrance are gone.
The cleared ground in front of the building is now bare earth with heavy equipment tracks visible throughout, with construction vehicles actively working the site.
What you can see in the latest photos
- The Dino Sue Tyrannosaurus rex cast, which stood on a raised pedestal in front of the attraction, has been removed entirely
- The Aladar Iguanodon figure and the surrounding water feature at the entrance have been cleared
- The forecourt in front of the DINOSAUR building is now an open dirt pad
- The DINOSAUR signage and building facade remain intact for now
What is the new Indiana Jones attraction?
Disney has previously confirmed the new ride is coming to Animal Kingdom in 2027. It will feature an all-new story. separate from the Indiana Jones Adventure at Disneyland or any other existing Indy attraction.
In this version, Indy has just discovered a perfectly preserved Maya temple. He's picked up rumors of a mythical creature living deep inside, and he's going in to find out if it's real. You're coming with him.
The attraction will use the existing DINOSAUR ride building and its EMV (Enhanced Motion Vehicle) ride system.
