Impressions de France will close for refurbishment at EPCOT starting February 22, 2026. Disney has not announced a reopening date for the France Pavilion film.

The show is currently listed as closed through April 3, 2026, which is as far out as the calendar extends. The actual refurbishment could be shorter or longer than this timeframe.

Impressions de France currently operates on a limited schedule, sharing the Palais du Cinéma theater with Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along. The film runs from 9:00 am to 9:30 am and 7:00 pm to 8:45 pm.

Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along also has no show times listed beyond February 22. It's unclear whether the sing-along will continue during the refurbishment or if the entire theater will be closed.

Impressions de France has been showing at EPCOT since the park opened in 1982. The 18-minute film takes you through French landscapes, architecture, and culture set to classical music.

No details are available about what work will take place during this refurbishment. Theater refurbishments typically involve technical upgrades, seating repairs, or projection system updates.

That would be in character for how World Showcase has been treated for the last twenty years.

I feel like Impressions will simply be nixed all together, before that piece of junk, sadly. Just seems like we would have heard a rumbling of something either way.

In my opinion it's time for Impressions de France to be updated. It's the only film in World Showcase that hasn't seen an update. The France shown in the video isn't the France of today. The theater also needs updating. It's very dated and the seats are horrible. Hopefully this refurbishment will see the end of the Beauty & The Beast Sing Along. It's the worst show on property.

IDF is one of my favorites... A beautiful quality film...fantastic music and visuals... I would love to see them add some updated footage...the world has changed in 40 years since that film was made, but hopefully it could be done in a way that maintains the paacing and beauty of the original film ...In theater effects? Smells? That could add a layer of entertainment driving attendance....

As these posters have said, Impressions de France is one of my all time favorite parts about EPCOT. Really the last remnant of what existed when the park opened, it is truly a classic at this point and deserves to be around until at least EPCOT's 50th. There is something so wonderful to me when going to the theater and sitting down to see the show. I actually just listened to the movie's soundtrack in the car and I could visualize all the scenes that acompany the beautiful music. I'd also love to learn more about the scenes in the film like why some of the ladies in the wedding scene are wearing those big white hats whereas others aren't. And who or what orchestra performed all the music heard. This show may be old, but there's so much still to learn about it!

Hope the show remains, we always go and see it, it's classic epcot to me! It is insanely dated though and in reality doesn't reflect modern France at all.

They had a lot of issues with the curtains previously. Maybe that mechanical system will be replaced.

I sure hope you are right. Though preserving long beloved parts of EPCOT hasn't exactly been their specialty over the past few decades.

I don't think the show is going anywhere with this refurb.

The seats in the theater do need an update, but Impressions is fantastic (yes a little dated). I hope it comes back mid-March when I'm there. The sing-a-long...who cares!;):p

Maybe Vahle thinks this too is underutilized. :banghead: But genuinely worried now with this news for Impressions. The sing along is garbage, I don't think there is any new France film in the works we would have heard something. Either this space rips out the theater and is refurbished into something else,,,,or its just maintenance work in some form and both shows will return or, this is the end of Impressions and will be nothing but the rotten sing along from here on out. Some accountant has probably said why are we running two shows here...

Will be legitimately crushed if Impressions isn't available when I'm there week of 3/9. Everyone has their little things they love to do at Disney, and for me this film is one of them. We love starting the day and ending the night with such a relaxing / soothing film

Both films are meh to me. Thought impressions was boring when i was a kid continuing to today. Think the sing along is stupid. 🤷‍♂️ Its my 77 year old fathers favorite tho.

It is awful, but I'm okay if it lives on for a few hours a day for the kiddos, but it should mostly take a back seat to an updated Impressions. With Disneyland Adventure World opening in March, this really seems like a time to play some promos or setup some exhibits like they do in China. At least refurbishment sounds temporarily.
