Showbot looks set to make a return to Walt Disney World alongside the opening of Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind.

No word yet on specific times, or exactly which Showbot will be appearing, but we understand the interactive atmosphere entertainment offering will be roaming around World Discovery starting May 27.

We first saw the iCan showboat 5 years ago traveling around Tomorrowland, striking up conversations with guests of all ages.

Besides being highly agile, an impressive feature is his ability to look-up information, and say where people live, and have detailed knowledge of the area.

He is also equipped with a chest mounted video and display and extensive on-board sound effects and music.

Check out the video below for a look at the showbot from 2017 at Magic Kingdom.

You know they still have the designs for that merch. If they had the will they could make them But you know.....

Even Kitchen Kabaret as well...

During the glory days of Imagination, there was a ton of merch (I know; I bought a ton of it). Figment and Dreamfinder plush for example.

Just to clarify: Orlando never had a fully covered leg version of those original raptor puppets. IOA just had the themed area fence and tactics to hide the lower half. There are also other differences besides the paint job.

Is it?

When they brought the encounter to the Hollywood park it introduced the fully covered version after which Orlando's got..But, you can see the design is the same except the paintwork..

It's too bad that the costume sucked, because, between her and Seeker, I kind of love the idea that the Dino-Institute is just filled with weird scientists all making unscheduled field trips to bring their favorite dinosaurs to the present behind each other's back. It's funny to me.

I don’t remember that! I remember “Lucky” the real deal Dino from WDI - I thought it was pretty cool.

Cmdr_CrimsonMay 30, 2022

Remember that time Disney wanted a Velociraptor soooo bad they brought out a poor excuse of one at AK..Because Dinos were a thing again... And not only that...It's the same company that made the ones for Universal..

It’s also a cheap 3rd party add vs. something like Muppet mobile labs. But something is better than nothing.

In a world of life like robots, Disney pulls out a cheezy "robot" that no one liked before. It's not world class, cutting edge tech we should get for the entrance price. Good enough is Six Flags not Disney. Seems like a desperation move for cheap entertainment.

Until they lift a page from the NASCAR playbook and cover the Showbots with IP stickers.

True. I'm just teasing @CaptainAmerica
