See what happens when poor weather crashes the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular - it's the 'burning rain of death' edition

The opening night of Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom was heavily affected by rain, which resulted in no full performances of the hugely popular "Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular" stage show.

Despite the "burning rain of death," as the Sanderson Sisters put it, the midnight show took place in a heavily modified format.

The 5-minute wet weather show includes appearances by the villains from the regular show and a performance of "I Put A Spell On You."

They doubled the price and cut sales by 30% so it feels better and brings in more cash.

But I think people are still lining up at 4pm to get a start on this one.

When I went this year they had Jack and Sally meeting in Town Square Theater and opened the line at 6pm with your wrist band.

Do Jack and Sally still come out about 430 or 5? I usually go straight ro their line at 4.

Don't count on it. They'll have to increase the price considerably while adding at least 20% more tickets. "By popular demand"

My husband and I went once back in 2009 and it was very crowded and chaotic. I swore I would never attend another party. I am planning a solo trip for next August and after reading reviews and watching YouTube videos, I’m thinking I would love to give it another chance. I hope the number of tickets sold is the same next year!

The joke being that the “demand” Disney is seeing will result in them moving party dates up even earlier year after year.

I can’t wait to attend MNSSHP next April. I already have my costume picked.

We did get there at 4pm-went and ate at the Crystall palace and went to Jungle Cruise and followed the rides all the way to Tomorrowland. Everything was walk on except Haunted Mansion-only waited 10 min max. We rode EVERY ride in the Magic Kingdom- haven't done that since the 80s.

That's what I've seen from every video from every sold out party night this year. Extremely low crowds. I can't wait. When I first heard that days were selling out left and right I was concerned that October 18th would sell out and we would be shoulder to shoulder. I'm very happy that they're keeping the crowd levels low for this party. We bought tickets for a variety of different reasons and so far I think it's going to work out for everyone in our group. My son and I want to go to the party so that we can get on to attractions very quickly without much of a wait. My wife wants to go to the party for the parade, fireworks, and candy spots. My son's girlfriend (who has never been to Disney before) wants to go to the party because of the stage show, fireworks, parade, and candy.

122 days to sell out all dates. Wow!

Was at the September 9th (Friday) Party, sold-out, was the least crowded party I have ever seen. We had a blast.
