The scrim has come down from Haunted Mansion at Magic Kingdom, revealing a fully restored exterior.
Disney has repainted and replaced almost the entire facade during the refurbishment. The work includes an entirely new atrium, closely recreating the attraction's original opening day appearance.
What's Changed
The brick and stonework across the mansion now show fresh detailing throughout. The atrium stands out as one of the most significant updates, matching the look of the building when it first opened.
The restoration touches nearly every visible section of the exterior, from the chimneys and turrets down to the entrance areas guests pass through in the queue.
A few elements remain before the project wraps up completely. Landscaping around the building still needs to be restored, and construction walls remain in place around parts of the perimeter.
Disney plans to complete this remaining work over the next week, ahead of the first Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party of the season.
The attraction has operated normally throughout the refurbishment and continues to do so as the final touches are completed.
