Sorry, my vague memory of this had me conflating nighttime entertainment with a parade. Carry on, folks.

MisterPenguinJan 27, 2019

Never heard that before.

Wasn't there supposed to be a cool, non-IP nighttime parade in AK as part of the expansion? Did that actually materialize? Disney, if you're listening, a dance party is what you do when you are completely out of ideas. That's why low-tier Dreamworks movies all end with dance parties (And Shrek, I know, put down the pitchforks).

All of these new offerings that are scheduled to last through September 30 is coming out of a different marketing/promo budget, essentially for the most part we locally aren’t paying for it. Then after September 30 anything that stays goes back to coming out of local WDW entertainment operations budget.

Honestly, If Discovery Island Carnival didn't last what makes this much more diffferent? Now, before your eyes let's see them cut their budget and this be the first thing to go come mid summer in 3.........2...........

Dance, animals! DANCE!

The only value a dance party has for me is if it draws people away from other attractions that I want to see.

Lame...

Or a Phoenician Dance Party, where we get to thank them in song...

It’s actually mandatory. You MUST thank them, and appear sincere. Otherwise, they make you have a staring contest with the SSE newsboy.

More like a Lazy Susan. Instead of coming up with something new, they just keep turning the table and grabbing a repeat, slapping on a new label. (Maybe I am being a bit too harsh...)
