While most of the work is taking place inside, there is some new progress at "Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind" on the outside.

Most of the visible work is centered on the roof, where new panels are being installed.

At Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind the adventure will start in the “Galaxarium,” a planetarium-like exhibition that explores the similarities and mysteries of the formation of Earth’s galaxy and Xandar. You’ll be invited to learn more about Xandar’s treasures – until the moment when the Guardians of the Galaxy arrive, and adventures across the cosmos ensue.

The Epcot attraction opens in 2021.

I’ve put some feelers out but so far they don’t know.

Just the area between SM and Tron is large enough to contain the Little Mermaid show building it appears. I count that area too.

I think a mere retheme would be cheap and lazy, ultimately feeling temporary. A new long term attraction should go there when they can develop one.

Small World has become entwined with Fantasyland’s DNA. Everyone getting along is a fantasy anyways.

Wasn't that the building for the weirdly named "The Feel of the Wheel" future attraction? (I never did figure out what that was supposed to be)

i think that giant pond just north of the new tron building would be a pretty cool side to expand into, they could raise the rr tracks and create a tunnel underneath it to access an entire new land.....i suggest tritons kingdom because its indoors so you wouldnt see the massive tron building. something like this i drew up in ms paint lol.

I feel like the spaces on the left are logistically not very accessible, and the Storybook Circus redo is a pipedream I'm sure, so that leaves the vacant main street theatre/old stage plot as the only pad it seems. I would love to see them expand Adventureland (I know the Fire Mountain idea is long rumoured but not sure how true it really is. They would have to redo the access road back there and the train track again. The area behind Big Thunder would be hard to expand to but not impossible, I don't see them getting rid of Rivers of America/Tom Sawyer Island. What would be really cool is a bridge from Frontierland to Haunted Mansion. That way when you go up to Big Thunder you don't have to just turn around and go back the way you came.

It was, but only in the vicinity of the COP. The (long dead) proposal didn’t involve extending into the lake. It was more illustrative, as also seen by the extended water courses north of SM and one that entered Tomorrowland by the (also never built) railroad station.

Well that explains why it didn't look like there was much space there on current satellite imagery.

I’ve never gotten a definite answer but it’s believed to be the fabled Mary Poppins dark ride. I must chase it up again.

Not impossible but that pond was adjusted to handle more as part of TRON. Moving that much capacity would probably hurt the costs of any project trying to follow that concept.

What in the world was this supposed to be in the red?? I'm probably just ignorant, but I've never seen a model of MK with that building there. Could you explain? Thanks!

Was the cancelled Main Street Theatre supposed to be built in the parking lot?
