Frozen Ever After reopened this morning at EPCOT, drawing long wait times as guests lined up to see the newly upgraded Audio-Animatronics. As of 9:15am, the standby wait is 95 minutes.
The line has extended well beyond the Norway Pavilion, stretching past China and into the Africa section of World Showcase.
Wait Times and Crowds
Frozen Ever After closed January 26 for the refurbishment and returned this morning after just over two weeks of downtime. High demand is likely to continue as word spreads that it has reopened.
What's New
The refurbishment replaced projection-based faces with articulated heads featuring silicone skin for Anna, Elsa, and Kristoff. Disney also refreshed show lighting and touched up sets throughout the attraction.
Disney Imagineering's Ken Ricci described the updated Elsa figure ahead of reopening: "I was in awe and got chills seeing Elsa, because it's literally like she stepped off the screen and it's standing in front of you now. You will notice the improvement."
The new figures are inspired by the animatronics at World of Frozen in Hong Kong Disneyland and offer a closer resemblance to the film characters.
