EPCOT's Frozen Ever After is scheduled to reopen February 12, 2026, according to operating hours now posted on Disney's website.
The ride closed January 26, 2026, for an Audio-Animatronics upgrade. Disney is installing new figures for Anna, Elsa, and Kristoff that match the technology used at World of Frozen in Hong Kong Disneyland.
The upgraded animatronics feature:
- More expressive facial movements
- Refined body animation
- Closer resemblance to the film characters
The new figures represent the first major character update since Frozen Ever After opened in 2016.
Refurbishment Details
- The closure runs approximately two and a half weeks.
- The Norway Pavilion remains open during the refurbishment. Guests can atill visit the Royal Sommerhaus meet-and-greet and other pavilion experiences.
- Frozen Ever After originally introduced all-electric Audio-Animatronics and 3D-printed components when it debuted. The technology has since appeared in Tiana's Bayou Adventure and other recent attractions.
- The Hong Kong versions provided the template for this upgrade.
