Epcot's first rest and relaxation D-Zone area is now open in the Innoventions corridor behind Character Spot.

The corridor, which has long been a favorite spot for guests to take a break, is now equipped with tables and chairs, and a kiosk offering snacks and drinks. Along with soft drinks, there are alcoholic beverages and frozen drinks.

The D-Zone relaxation area concept began at Magic Kingdom with the introduction of the Fantasyland Tangled restroom area, and the big top area in Storybook Circus. The idea is for for people to have a space to cool down, charge the all-important devices, and to take a break from some of the hustle and bustle of the park.

So the secret cool spot is not the not so secret cool spot. Cool

I just skimmed through the thread, so I'm not 100% sure if this has been mentioned or asked before, but does anyone know if they've done anything about the horrible smell back there? The area seems nice, but I just can't stand the smell for more than a few minutes.

Yea, but it's nothing that me, a printer and three minutes can't fix. But... It could go one of two ways. Could make it say 35th Anniversary. Or, 10th anniversary of the 25th Anniversary. Already have tables and chair there too so could have made it an upcharge event. LOL

Are you insinuating that EPCOT is having a mid life crisis? :)

ToTBellHopJul 25, 2016

Well it turns 35 next year...

Damn! I was just looking at it during my last trip. Kicking what remains of Epcot while it's down.

I should point this out...Orlando Theme Park News announced on their recent update... The 25th Anniversary Timeline was recently removed in Innoventions West Hallway.....

Or if we were grading effort, theme, and design it would get a D...well D- at most...

In a weird way, the name is very appropriate. If there's an area that is no longer going to be used for any real purpose, it's essentially been... D(e)-Zoned.

What's the review of the chairs and tables? Are they of the crappy variety or are there Disney touches? They seem like, Walmart brand or Kirkland brand.
