Disney Music Emporium and Walt Disney Records have announced a two-LP vinyl release inspired by the 1983 album "The Official Album of EPCOT Center."

The announcement came through Instagram, and the vinyl will be available for pre-order at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event before its exclusive release through Disney Music Emporium on October 2.

The original 1983 album captured the sound of EPCOT Center in its earliest days. This new pressing builds on that foundation, pairing classic attraction tracks with music from EPCOT's current lineup. You get both eras of the park on one release.

Throwing Ratatouille, Coco, Guardians, and Moana in there is so out of place in comparison to the vibes of the rest of the disk... lol

Thanks for posting this!

I’m curious how many minutes of this will be on the record… and if the rest/any of it will be available on streaming.

Born too late for EPCOT 1LP soundtrack release
Born too early for EPCOT 2LP soundtrack release
I'll never forget you Test Track 2.0 </3

(but seriously, this tracklist alleviates a little bit of my FOMO regarding this release, especially as someone who owns the original EPCOT Center album already. still interested in checking it out (esp for side A of the second disc), but not as desperate for it as i thought i'd be.)
There's nothing here worth the purchase. I'm $ur€ mo$t will $ay that Di$n€y di$agr€€$.
There’s nothing quite like the sight, touch, smell & most importantly, the sound of a piece of vinyl!!
Some good tracks, but I would have liked to see the original Soarin' (over California) instead of Soarin' Around The World included, as well as Illuminations: Reflections of Earth, Promise and Tapestry of Nations. I guess they would have needed to make it a 3 album set, though.

the first release of the computer song in 43 years is pretty notable, and i'm interested to hear the new versions of some tracks (like the extended magic journeys), but yeah, this is definitely made for the disney music nerds like myself and not something i'd foresee the general public being interested in

Agreed, the OG Soarin’ should’ve been included…
It's missing Reflections of Earth but other than that I don't think I have ever wanted a material possession more in my entire life

A Disney music nerd already has 80% of that track list in digital format, at least. This looks very much like a desperate push to try and get in on the already-tired vinyl craze. I’m not saying don’t buy it, but… I kind of am.

I agree with you. I do have (somewhere in storage) the original Epcot album on vinyl. The original Soarin' is the best. I am glad I have Reflections of Earth and Tapestry of Nations on CD somewhere, and "Space" from Horizons is one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever. I will be passing on this. A bit disappointed, but I pretty much have what I like from the past already.
I hate myself for it, not to the point of calling a hotline, more like a can't look myself in the faceballs kind of self-loathing, and in my defense, there is a mild backstory propelling me, but I'm probably buying this.
Would be nice if they would go back to releasing CDs in the park shops like they used to do years ago, or making this available to buy form Disney Music Emporium on CD as well.
