EPCOT’s entrance plaza has received a fresh landscaping update, with ten new foxtail palm trees now installed either side of Spaceship Earth.

The new trees frame Spaceship Earth on both sides, restoring symmetry and greenery to an area that had lost much of its vegetation in recent years.

Over time, several trees in front of Spaceship Earth were removed, leaving the area looking sparse. The new additions help bring back a more balanced and inviting look. These foxtail palms match the ones already lining the path toward World Celebration Gardens, creating a consistent look throughout the front of the park.

Just a guess, but the planters probably mean they are taking another stab at fixing OR cementing over the ground lighting. I suspect we will never get a fountain. :(

Rolling planters have begun to be installed around the central planter.

Grabbed this screenshot from a ResortTV1 stream this morning. There does indeed seem to be planters in the are although don't know what exactly they're covering right now
