Bob Weis, who recently retired as president of Walt Disney Imagineering, has received a window at Disney's Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World.

The window reads, "Flower Street Pictures, Bob Weis, Studio Head - Our Productions Entertain the World."

The new window is located above Hollywood Vine and was unveiled to Bob and Disney leaders earlier today.

Disney's Hollywood Studios is a fitting location for Bob's window, as he was an integral part of the park's creation in the late 80's.

Bob Weis left The Walt Disney Company in early January 2023, forty-two years after joining WDI. Bob served most recently as Global Imagineering Ambassador and before that as president of Walt Disney Imagineering. As both a leader and creative, Bob saw countless attractions, lands, resort hotels, cruise ships, and theme parks come to fruition around the world.

I understand the "pictures" part but what is the "Flower Street" reference? Edit: Imagineering main office in Glendale, of course. 😄

I have a book from a good 10 years ago. Not sure if it's that one, I'd have to go dig it out.

Think there have been a few, but here's one example:

Wonder if Disney has ever thought of making a coffee table book with pictureas of all the tribute windows, listing it's location, park/resort and a short background of the honor/significance with maybe bonus info on why the window is different in multiple parks/resorts. It would definitely be something I'd purshase. Maybe this already exists and just don't know where to find it.

Very fitting since he was so integral to the creation of DHS!

Now we need a rendition of Joe Rohde carved into the Tree of Life.

Rare as far as I know. Although Bob deserves one in MK.

I so enjoy those windows that give honor to those who have been instrumental in Disneys growth. Congrats to him. Every trip I spend time gazing at the assortment of windows.
