New Concept Art Revealed for Wish Float in Disney Starlight Parade

Disney has released a new piece of concept art showing the upcoming Wish float that will be part of Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away, debuting at Magic Kingdom in Summer 2025. Inspired by Walt Disney Animation Studios’ 2023 film Wish, the float brings Asha and Star to the nighttime parade for the first time.

Wish float

The concept art features Asha standing on an illuminated tree branch adorned with glowing flowers and leaves. Beside her is Star, and below, the base of the float swirls with brilliant purple, blue, and white lighting effects.

This Wish float joins previously announced units inspired by Coco, Moana, Encanto, Frozen, Peter Pan, and a princess unit influenced by Mary Blair’s concept art.

If they’re having problems, then they should give up and cancel Disney Starlight Parade. It’s probably too expensive anyway. I blame WDWPro for this, if it’s true!

I’m just pointing out that there are individuals with expertise at DL if they can show the nighttime parade twice with fireworks and F! But, communication between WDW and DL is not always a strong suit…

They cant even get all the festival of fantasy effects working consistantly with only one run per day I wonder how a modern nighttime parade will look after a year or two.. Everytime I watched that parade the last 2 years there was either something broken or a float missing from the already shrunk down lineup.

Hopefully B Mode is an option......... Although, the minute Cool Kid Summer was announced without Starlight Finalized, I smelled something was off! I was So Hoping MK would get this Done! Should be interesting if anything disappears on WDW's Site, FB, etc over the next few weeks/Months!

Given the issues they are discovering, perhaps they should have stuck with 9:20 fireworks and had one parade at 10:30. It seems it may have been too ambitious to attempt the parade at 9 with HEA at 10. And yes, they used to do that. With a less MSUSA-centric fireworks show. It should also come as no surprise that no one knows how to manage this because so few were working at MK 9 years ago. They will get there. Eventually. Send a crew to DL to observe PtN running with fireworks and Fantasmic.

Hopefully it still makes summer. Although I feel like we should be getting some sneak peaks of the music at least soon right? Maybe a look at what one of the floats looks like in person?

Probably modified in a way that the parade is going to be a shell of what it was supposed to be. I know nothing but I’m starting to get Rivers of Light vibes with how that kept getting delayed.
