Peter Pan and Wendy Flying in Disney Starlight Parade - First Look

Peter Pan and Wendy are now flying in the Disney Starlight parade at Magic Kingdom. The long-rumored effect has debuted on the Big Ben float, lifting the two characters high above the crowd for the first time.

Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away debuted at Magic Kingdom on July 20, 2025. The nighttime parade runs along Main Street, U.S.A. and features a large cast of classic and contemporary Disney and Pixar characters - several appearing in a Disney Live Entertainment nighttime parade for the first time.

The parade is anchored by an original theme combining a new musical score with melodies from beloved Disney animated films. Floats include Snow White and Dopey in a twinkling mine car, Rapunzel and Flynn Rider on their lantern boat, Aladdin and Jasmine on a magic carpet, and a whimsical train inspired by the original Main Street Electrical Parade. Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse close out the parade in new sparkling looks.

Other characters in the lineup include the Blue Fairy, Asha, La Familia Madrigal, Elsa, Aurora, Tiana, Belle, Cinderella, Miguel, Moana, Goofy, Pluto, Donald, Daisy, and more.

Peter Pan and Wendy appear on the Big Ben float - now with a flying effect that elevates the two characters high above the crowd.

Magic Kingdom's Disney Starlight Parade in Pictures

Performance times this week are at 8:30pm and 10:30pm, stepping off in Main Street U.S.A.

Easier to manage in a controlled environment like an indoor stage (where the rigs are built into the infrastructure of the theater + you can mitigate the visibility of wires with haze and lighting) than an outdoor platform that moves and turns.

I will say seeing them fly in person last week was pretty cool. However, the hardware they are using seems bulkier than I was hoping for. I’ve seen much more sleek gear used for flying in many Broadway shows, I would have hoped for something like that.

Most of this week, it's twice a night along with every Fri and Sat so far.... Would be nice ti see it return to 9 & 11 every night from June to MNSSHP 2026....

Do we think this parade is staying at once nightly for the foreseeable future? I can make ADRs at the end of the month and I’m trying to plan my days. Right now, the parade is at 8:45 and the fireworks at 10. Think this will be the case moving forward or will they do parade, fireworks, parade like last summer?

Its not, when wind or weather is a issue they don't send out the Encanto and Frozen performers.

I’d been exposed to no spoilers on the parade before seeing it a couple of weeks ago. I had very low expectations but I really enjoyed it. Found to the right mix of nostalgia and new tech. On scale of 5 Glow Bugs I give it a solid 4.
