The Waterview Park refurbishment at Disney Springs is running significantly behind schedule, but there are now visible signs that the project is moving forward.

The outdoor live music venue, located between Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar and The Boathouse — across from Wine Bar George — has been closed since the shade canopy installation began earlier this year. The original reopening date of May 23, 2026 has long passed with no updated timeline from Disney.

This week, construction photos show wooden support beams now visible above the construction walls surrounding Waterview Park. Based on what's visible, the structure appears to be wood-framed.

No revised reopening date has been announced.

What's Being Built

Disney is installing a shade canopy over the Waterview Park seating area. The venue hosts live music performances, typically during the evening hours, and is one of the few dedicated outdoor entertainment spaces at Disney Springs.

If you're heading to Disney Springs and were hoping to catch a live set at Waterview Park, the space remains off-limits for now.

This thing is already months overdue on the timeline ~ to put up a shade structure. They initially announced it would reopen in two weeks, it's been 10 weeks and counting.

Now could they just add some shade structures for the loading zones of the parking lot trams. Man that's some heat right there if you're waiting for a tram in the middle of the afternoon. You either get baked by the Sun or soaked by the storm.
