The official webpage for Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! is now live on the Walt Disney World website.

The webpage lists the show as a 20-minute stage production located in Animation Courtyard at Hollywood Studios. Disney had previously announced a summer 2026 opening for The Magic of Disney Animation, and the webpage confirms Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! will be part of that debut.

According to the description, the show is inspired by the Disney Jr. series "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse" and the newer "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse+" series. It features upbeat original songs, interactive elements for younger guests, and appearances by Disney characters.

The Story

Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse welcome guests to Mickey's house for a party. Their friends Goofy, Daisy, and Pluto haven't arrived yet, so Mickey and Minnie take the party on the road to find them. The show builds to a high-energy finale once everyone is together.

Where It Fits

Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! is one of several experiences coming to The Magic of Disney Animation building in the reimagined Animation Courtyard area. Other components also opening summer 2026 include:

  • Olaf Draws! - An Animation Academy drawing class hosted by an Audio-Animatronics Olaf
  • Enchanted Art Gallery - A curated art space where Disney characters spring to life
  • Once Upon A Studio Theater - A dedicated theater showing the Emmy Award-winning short film
  • Drawn to Wonderland Playground - An indoor play area inspired by Alice in Wonderland concept art
  • Character Greetings - Multiple meet-and-greet locations

Walt Disney Imagineering recently filed four new Notices of Commencement for work in the Animation Courtyard area, including permits for set installation and electrical work at The Magic of Disney Animation building.

I would love for Disney to replicate the Hyperion studio in one of the parks. Hollywood Blvd. at DCA could benefit from this authenticity and gravitas. Maybe with a "Once Upon a Studio" sort of dark ride with Mystic Manor/Journey Into Imagination vibes. A queue through the Ink & Paint Dept., Camera Dept., screening room, etc. would be super fun.

Here's the concept art for "Mickey's Movieland" which was a take on the original Disney Hyperion Studio. The new animation building is my least favorite of the (3?) Burbank animation studios, but the area will be nicer with the foliage and the bold color will work as a visual draw.

The Art Deco/Streamline Moderne facades are one of the things I like most about the park. I very much wish they would dive back into that instead of covering it up.

There's certainly no problem with not liking how this building is turning out as we're all here to discuss these things and reasonable people can disagree. From my point of view, I wouldn't die on the hill of defending the new animation building, but what I am seeing works for me. My take on this project is that it is a fairly small one to refresh a dead/underused corner of the park rather than a major new addition as such and, given the scale, I appreciate the attention they are paying to make it seem like a studio courtyard with nods to the studios in Burbank. As for the building, the architecture of the original building honestly is a little bland which is why I think they previously had to put the Sorcerer Mickey in between the two column things to draw people's attention to it and signal there was an attraction inside. Given the choice between something like that and the references to the Burbank animation building, the latter actually seem more tasteful and likely effective to me.

Sorry if my criticisms are coming across as nitpicking. I'm happy the Animation Courtyard is getting some attention, and I think returning it to an Animation-focused attraction is a very good thing. I was just genuinely confused about the project. The whole "evocative of" or "nod to" approach seems, I don't know, a bit lazy to me? We've known what it was going to look like since the first page of this thread. But for some reason, it just didn't sink in for me that they were giving up on the original 1930s theming and essentially just painting the building the same colors as the Burbank building and adding the big hat. I mean, how difficult would it have been to redo the facade to look more like this (if that's what they wanted)? Even just the rectangular front portion of the building, but with windows (fake or otherwise)? Like I said previously, the Streamline Moderne style of the original building had curved ends, horizontal emphasis, a tiered structure that was sort of nautical-looking. Those large, rounded (columns? pilasters? IDK) on the facade are pretty unique, but they also make it look very different than the Burbank building. I'm sure it'll be an improvement on the Star Wars Launch Bay and a fine attraction. I'm just interested in the architectural style and imagineering going on, and not trying to be critical.

This was my impression also, I don’t recall the OG building ever looking this yellow, which is why I thought the FL building was likely painted a bit darker to account for the inevitable FL fade.

So just another erroneous claim you don’t want to be challenged on. It’s supposed to be a light shade. https://www.ramsa.com/projects/project/feature-animation-building

Yes, which is why they pay for things like UV resistant additives and repainting.

I meant the original building in Burbank is faded But regardless, you don't like this project so you're gonna continue finding new things to complain about and nitpick, and I have zero interest in continuing this discussion with you. Be well

Unless you take the sun out the sky it’s bound to fade eventually.

You don’t pick a finish color based on hopes that an uncontrolled, inconsistent process will occur exactly as desired.

Still looks too yellow to me, the original is a much more muted tone.

If you consider IP dumping grounds an actual plan for the future, maybe. It makes me more concerned for the future but admittedly I am a dying breed.
