Disney has announced that Disney Junior Play and Dance! at Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be temporarily unavailable starting May 25, 2025. The closure comes just ahead of the launch of the resort-wide Cool Kid Summer event.

Beginning May 27, the same Animation Courtyard location will reopen with a new limited-time experience called “Get Animated” as part of the seasonal offerings. The updated experience will feature:

  • High-energy games and crafts
  • Surprise character appearances
  • Live entertainment tailored for younger guests

Disney Junior Play and Dance! is expected to return at a later date following the conclusion of Cool Kid Summer, which runs through September 1, 2025.

Makese sense. We just have our two youngest this upcoming trip so they fall under the kid category.

Kidani is vacation club…just use points and don’t overcomplicate it. A one bedroom also isn’t a tremendous fit for that party mix…but you do get a washer 😎

I wasn't planning on a WDW vacation this year, but I put down a tentative reservation on a 6 night stay at Kidani resort view with a 1BR villa. 4 adults 1 kid, hoppers, 6 nights, QSDP and memory maker and it was "only" $9,300. It's about a $2000 savings if we were going to do this last year. Mostly because of the ticket deal that is included. Will see if I end up keeping it.

You have to weight the cost of the dining plan vs the savings you get from either deal. In my scenario of a family of 5 with only 1 disney kid, that's basically $400 a night. It'll depend on your party and hotel you're staying in.

Definitely check all of the offers you qualify for to see what is the best option for your travel group. Marie

Ya we were waffling with doing a few Universal Days or a Sea World Day and I think Disney wins this year--but mostly because my kids are still ride wimps. But the combined room/ticket deal with kids meal is an actual decent offer (compared to Disney's regular offers).

Hmm it wasn't for us. Our free dining bounce back is more than the new deal and we get more park time, maybe because of kids dining being free.

Yes, the kids eat free can be stacked!

I applied this for a client staying at FQ. First of all, the minimum amount for tickets is 6 days. They had a 4 day attached to their reservation so I had to upgrade to a 6 to get 2 free. So no savings there. They were originally booked in a standard room but standard was not available with the discount so I had to upgrade to preferred. Total they saved about $500. So good, but not great.

I also believe you can stack the “Kids Ear Free” offer on this so it is a lot better than I initially thought.

2 Adults, 2 Kids ages 5 and 6 All-Star Sports Preferred Room 6/14 - 6/20 Total with no discount = $5652.92 Totals with the Cool Kid Summer Discount Room w/6-day base tickets = $3657.76 Room w/6-Day Park Hoppers $4041.16 QS Dining and Kids eat free = $4766.80 Total with "Up to 30% Off" offer = $5294.26 So the Cool Kids discount is really good. @wannabeBelle I'd be talking up the heck out of that Cool Kid deal. That looks great, right?

Good morning everyone!! Yes we can book any of the promotions announced. Give us a call at 1866-566-7858 to speak with an agent. I'm not in the office this morning but I know one of our great agents is! Have a wonderful day and a very happy New Year! Marie

Basically any promo you see from Disney can be booked with a TA or directly on their website. Any promo you see only from a TA is usually them taking money from their profit margins.

Let’s wait to hear from actual TA’s. Maybe @wannabeBelle will be kind enough to let us know if this deal can be booked through TA’s?
