New Cirque du Soleil sign on building exterior

The new Cirque du Soleil show "Drawn to Life" opens in just 10 days and the finishing touches are being put on the exterior of the building.

The old blue signs have been replaced with gold in a new style, and can be seen on all sides of the building.

Here is a look at the old sign for a comparison.

I remember seeing it as a kid... The auditorium was pretty large and packed. Then I saw it a couple of years ago... They divided the auditorium in half with a black curtain, cutting out half of the seats... And even THEN, they still had LOTS of empty seats (on two separate showings I saw). I think it was either it's time to retire, or for them to develop a new BMG show.

I only saw BMG once at Universal around 2010? It was good, but not a repeatable show (for me) like Cirque is.

I’ve only seen them in Chicago... how did they sell at universal?

It’s official BMG is out at UOR.

An early concept had a moderate Cirque presence on the South campus. I’m under the impression that Disney fought for them to stay exclusive he they caught wind, drawn to life happened, the Universal project died.

the.dreamfinder26 days ago Wasn’t there talk at one point of a new Cirque show at UNI?

Hey @Benjamin_Nicholas since you appear to be the most "in" regarding Cirque - any movement in Orlando as far as acrobats, practice, etc?

Planned Berlin resident show “NYSA” cancelled.

Those videos are from December of 2019 or early 2020....before COVID.

rangerbobJan 05, 2021

If rehearsals aren't going on; how is there a video on the Cirque website showing rehearsals?

halltdJan 05, 2021

No one (Disney or Cirque) ever announced a revised opening night since the original in March 2020 (technically April for the official opening) didn't happen. 2/10 was simply the last day not cancelled in advance. It was never an "opening night".
