The Cinderella Castle repainting project continues this week with crews now applying darker blue paint to the spires.
Work on the castle's main body color is complete. Painters are now focused on the blue roof sections using a darker shade of blue that contrasts with the light gray body color.
The new darker blue is visible in progress photos showing workers on high-reach lifts applying paint to the spire sections. The color change provides more definition between the castle's stone-like gray towers and the blue conical roofs.
The castle moat remains drained to allow access for the high-reach lifts needed to complete work on the tall spire sections.
You can see the difference in blue shades as crews work their way around the various spires and turrets. The project has progressed through multiple phases over recent weeks, starting with the rear sections and moving to the front-facing areas visible from Main Street U.S.A.
Additional work on other sections, including the lower brickwork may still be needed before the full project wraps up.
