The Cinderella Castle repainting project at Magic Kingdom has made significant progress over the last week. The new grey color now covers most of the castle's back and has extended to the sides and areas near the front.
The back of the castle, which received the grey paint first, is now almost complete. The color has wrapped around the sides and begun appearing on sections visible from the hub.
You can see the transformation taking shape from multiple vantage points in the park. The contrast between the original pink tones and the new grey is stark in areas where both colors remain.
What's Next
Work on the front-facing sections should begin within days using high-reach cranes positioned in the drained moat. The castle's most photographed side has remained largely untouched during the initial phases of repainting.
Disney has not announced a completion date for the project. Based on the current pace, the transformation could finish within the next few weeks.
