Concrete forms are now visible at the Magic Kingdom expansion site as construction of the Piston Peak Cars Land continues to progress. Aerial photos taken by @bioreconstruct on X show the latest state of the construction alongside Frontierland.
The forms are appearing in close proximity to the existing Frontierland pathway, running alongside the edge of the current guest area. Based on the concept art released by Disney, this location aligns with where streams are shown flowing through the Piston Peak area - suggesting these concrete forms could be footers for the water features planned for the land.
The official Piston Peak concept art shows an elaborate network of streams and water features running through the land, with cascading waterfalls and river elements forming a central part of the theming. The positioning of the concrete forms in the aerial photos matches closely with where these water features appear in the concept art, particularly along the edge nearest to Frontierland.
Scale of the Site
The aerial photos give a clear sense of the project's scale. The cleared and graded land extends well beyond Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, with the construction zone stretching significantly to the north toward the Villains Land area. The site dwarfs the surrounding existing attractions.
