Latest Look at Frontierland Construction for Cars Land as Rivers of America Water Levels Drop

The Magic Kingdom's Frontierland transformation continues, and while most areas look the same as in our last update, one change stands out.

The water level in the Rivers of America continues to drop, revealing more of the riverbed. The track used by the Liberty Square Riverboat is now much more visible as the draining progresses.

Construction walls remain in place around the area, and there has been no additional closures or changes to guest pathways since the walls first went up.

Work in this area is part of the early stages of the upcoming Piston Peak Cars Land expansion, which will replace the Rivers of America, Liberty Square Riverboat, and Tom Sawyer Island.

I'm really going to miss this. The DLR version is not as good, IMHO. I hope the water and view of the new Piston Peak area from this POV will be as scenic, just in a different way.
As of a few hours ago from Reddit

Start with “any” details…first

Has there been anything but a
Sketch with nothing on it?

Serious question…making sure i didn’t miss it.

New D’Amaroland.

Nope. Some thorns with a roller coaster track sort of visible, a roller coaster going through a blue underground section, and some pointy rocks.

That seems like a whizz bang kinda placeholder as it stands. Non-committal by design.

As always…I’d love for them to prove me wrong and build something great…but until then…

Will we get more info there? That remains to be seen.

Fancon? Where they give vague bits to their influence army to get free pub on SM?

I’m old fashioned…I trust only the shovels. Hard hats and steel tell the story.

Huh, always thought the river would be way deeper than this. This seems like it was never that deep to begin with

No…there was never any reason for it to be…

The waterways are always only as deep
As they need to be. It would be stupid to dredge more than that

Your list doesn’t actually affect my take on fancon at all…that is the intent and what happens there…

The ole villains thing is “dubious” because it’s nothing at this point. And on the ole threads (which I usually stay out of…I know my limits) it’s being kicked around as if its opening on Christmas.

Should be some grounding…I’ll go now 😎
