Walt Disney Imagineering (WDI) has filed a Notice of Commencement (NOC) to install signage at the ongoing mystery project in EPCOT's Canada Pavilion.

The permit, which is assigned to frequent WDI collaborator Design Communications Ltd, suggests that the project is progressing toward a reveal.

The addition of signage is a significant step, as it could provide a big clue about the purpose of the newly constructed exterior-facing kiosk window. Speculation has centered on the possibility of a bar or lounge space, or even a Disney Vacation Club (DVC)-related addition.

This permit follows months of construction activity at the Hotel du Canada, a previously unused section of the pavilion. Construction walls and the vague "Install Set Elements" description on earlier permits have kept fans guessing about what's in store.

While Disney has not made any announcements about this project, the installation of signage may finally provide confirmation of what we can expect from the new addition.

Has it gotten so bad they cant even get lights replaced now? Legend has it, lights were replaced overnight as needed...... I guess that was fake news.....

That’s what it would look like in real life so that makes sense.

Sorry I didn’t follow up, yes I meant it DOES go to the right people. Guest Relations will send back a reply basically thanking you for being a fan and your feedback bla bla bla, but they will forward your email to the department responsible for whatever the issue is. One example I like to mention is the resort map for CBR by the joffreys kiosk. I once wrote a letter pointing out that there was no map for people to use when exiting the Skyliner. I got the typical thank you for your feedback email but A couple months later the ground was dug up, and a little while later that map was installed.

For a while a gas powered generator pump was running it from backstage but that was removed a few weeks ago. Asked around today and apparently the whole mountain area will be going down for refurbishment soon so for now the waterfall will be dry. Tagging @aladdin2007 to keep you updated I’ve also been trying to get these lights replaced on the chateau for several months with no luck. Not sure if you know anyone that you could pass it on to, all my work orders get closed and lightbulb still burnt out, leaving chateau in the dark.

It’s been hit or miss lately but was working the last time I walked backed there. Not sure if it’s what you’re referring to but a lot of “green sludge” was intentionally painted on the last time the rocks were painted.

did you mean it does go to the right people? The last time I sent in a complaint regarding Morocco for the reasons donaldtoo stated, I got some response from what read like a teenager basically brushing off what I said and too bad so sad. I was very surprised at the lack of care and I dont care attitude response I got. After that I was like well this is pointless to do and haven't sent in anything since. But WS has some problems now for sure. Roof work in Norway is starting to not match up, the barely left waterfall off (of course frozen being closed may be why), the Morocco mess, Canada left to rot, and there were a couple of other things visually I forget now but will try to remember for a list.

Over the years that waterfall has had plumbing issues, could be that acting up again, agreed that it looks terrible. Also the lack of trees along the rock facade allowing you to see backstage also terrible. You can joint my fight guest.services@disneyworld.com, you’ll get a canned response but it doesn’t go to the right people.

I say start that thread…!!! I’m still ticked over how they took the fountain and planters in the front of the Morocco pavilion from Moroccan Artisan to Home Depot…what a joke…!!!!!:hilarious:;)

MickeyMania26Feb 01, 2026

I know this is a thread bump but figured best place, what's going on that they can't run the water/waterfalls in this pavilion anymore, it looks terrible. The rocks are full of green sludge, it all just looks like its been let go. Between this and the shell of Morocco among a few other issues in WS,,,which I should probably just start a new thread for because they are detailed nitpicks, but still. This particular one with Canada is bad.

But not everyone could visit it as a chase lounge either

JoeCamelApr 30, 2025

Bob wants money, those people got money

Cmdr_CrimsonApr 30, 2025

Why do we need another place where no one else could ever visit? I preferred it as a Chase Lounge..

JoeCamelApr 30, 2025

No reason? Really?

Cmdr_CrimsonApr 30, 2025

Yep, That was the Chase Lounge...I was so happy to finally get a chase card and the year I get it they closed it to become a Pointless club 33 for no reason..
