Disney's Blizzard Beach water park looks set for a late October 2022 reopening at Walt Disney World.

The latest Walt Disney World operating calendar only lists Typhoon Lagoon hours through October 29 2022, with hours for all other parks released through November 5.

A reopening of Blizzard Beach on October 30 would likely see Typhoon Lagoon then close for its annual refurbishment.

Disney has yet to announce a date for Blizzard Beach reopening or a closure of Typhoon Lagoon for refurbishment.

Blizzard Beach is currently being refurbished, including slide replacement at the family Team Boat Springs raft ride, and a slide conveyor belt lift at the Runaway Rapids slides.

Disney's water parks have been significantly impacted by the pandemic closure in 2020, with only one water park operating at a time since reopening.

Disney's Blizzard Beach reopened on March 7 2021, welcoming guests back after a near year-long closure due to the pandemic. Blizzard Beach later closed on January 3 2022, with Disney's Typhoon Lagoon water park reopening after an almost two-year closure due to the COVID pandemic.

I wish they would stop shoehorning unconnected IPs. Frozen doesn't belong.

I know that one.... The frame is plumbed to be filled with LN2 so when the wet tubes run up it drips and freezes. Like the saying goes don't judge until it is open ;) :angelic::hilarious:

People aren’t going to like the new lift. I can see that there will be complaints about it. I saw it recently in passing by the property.

I don't fit neatly into any of those groups. It's a perfectly nice addition, but I don't see anything to gush over, and nor do I think it's really meant to elicit any strong reaction except from the young children for whom it's designed.

THIS! It seems like there are three groups of people regarding these type of changes. Those like you and me who recognize that, while this ONE thing might not be that big of a deal, it is the latest in a long list of offenders that have diluted the quality and integrity of the parks and complaints about it are warranted. Then you have those on the fence, who might like it or not like it but insist it's no big deal. Then you have the Disney Adults, who gush over this. Disney seems only concerned with pleasing the Disney Adults now, not realizing that the appeal of WDW goes far beyond being immersed in the Disney brand.

This isn’t true. The Snowgies were introduced in the Frozen Fever short. Regardless, technically they didn’t exist until after the events of the first Frozen film

You are very bad at analogies

I get it, you're like a long past boyfriend who still drives by the house of your high school girlfriend thinking there's still a chance when she's been married for 15 years, has three kids, and lives on the other side of the country. There's a point where "hope" becomes "delusional denial".
