Blizzard Beach water park is closed today, Tuesday, March 17, as a sharp cold front pushes unseasonably cold temperatures across the Walt Disney World resort.
The park is currently scheduled to reopen tomorrow, Wednesday, March 18, from 10am to 5pm.
Typhoon Lagoon remains separately closed for its annual refurbishment and is not affected by the weather closure.
How Cold Is It?
The National Weather Service in Melbourne is forecasting highs of only the upper 50s to mid 60s today across the Orlando area - running 20 to 25 degrees colder than Monday. Wind chills this morning are dropping into the mid-to-upper 30s, with persistent north breezes making it feel even colder through the afternoon.
Some locations may tie or set record cold high temperatures for the date.
What's Ahead
Conditions improve through the week. Temperatures return to the 70s by Thursday and Friday, with low-to-mid 80s expected by the weekend under plenty of sunshine. If Blizzard Beach reopens Wednesday as scheduled, expect a cooler-than-normal but improving day.
