Little Mermaid Ride at Magic Kingdom Reopens Today After Brief Maintenance Closure

Under the Sea - Journey of The Little Mermaid is set to reopen today at Magic Kingdom following a one-day maintenance closure.

The Fantasyland dark ride closed yesterday, February 11, for maintenance work. It returns to operation today, February 12, 2026.

Operating hours for the attraction today are 9:00 am to 11:00 pm, with early entry available from 8:30 am to 9:00 am for eligible guests.

Disney did not disclose what work was carried out during the closure. The one-day turnaround suggests the maintenance was completed as planned.

Under the Sea - Journey of The Little Mermaid takes you through scenes from the 1989 animated film using Audio-Animatronics and music from the movie. The Fantasyland ride has been operating at Magic Kingdom since December 2012.
