Disney has completed the "Get Animated" refresh of Animation Courtyard at Disney's Hollywood Studios, just in time for the start of Cool Kid Summer.

The area now features:

New “Get Animated!” banners installed throughout the courtyard
Updated artwork at character meet-and-greet locations, including colorful, graphic-style visuals
A refreshed Disney Jr. entrance design with bold, playful designs to match the summer theme

Animation Courtyard Completed Cool Summer Kids Update

This visual update supports the limited-time Cool Kid Summer offerings, running from May 27 through September 1, 2025, and sets the stage for family-focused entertainment including:

The debut of “Get Animated”, a new indoor experience with crafts, games, and surprise character appearances
Ongoing meet-and-greets with Disney Junior favorites, currently relocated to Echo Lake while work was underway

Personally, while I may find some of it cringey (GoofyCore) I agree there should be more interactions like these. Playing a game with Rapunzel and Flynn is that “Disney Magic” many of us lament the loss of in recent years. I hope these unscheduled interactions continue.

The problem is you’re running around the forums pushing back against people who have also made their choices simply because you don’t agree with them. Like has been said, not everyone is going to like everything. If you and your kids don’t like these offerings for the summer, that’s fine! But that does not give you or anyone else permission to bristle against anyone who doesn’t feel the same which is the route so many of you all have taken with this. It’s like you all are actively upset that children are enjoying themselves at Disney.

Because those other, more cramped parks aren’t the most attended theme park in the world and have a guest base primarily of locals rather than MK’s out of towners. You just can’t approach MK the same you do the others.

Really don’t know how people can look at this and not see it as an absolute positive. This kinda thing is gonna stick with those kids. May even be the highlight of some of them’s vacation. The continued pushback from people on here on all this stuff is genuinely confusing.
