Disney's Animal Kingdom will celebrate Earth Day April 18 -24 with a couple of offerings throughout the park.

A special Disney Character Cruise will take to the Discovery River, which you can view from the bridges of Discovery Island.

Wilderness Explorer fans can participate in a limited-time activity to earn you an Earth Day Nature badge.

Beginning April 2, you can view a new sand sculpture celebrating Disneynature's "Polar Bear." The new film will stream only on Disney+ on Earth Day.

Finally, a limited-edition Earth Day 2022 trading pin will be available for purchase, along with some limited-time cupcakes including a Honeybee Cake at Restaurantosaurus and Creature Comforts, and a strawberry-flavored Flamingo Cupcake at Pizzafari and Flame Tree Barbecue. Specialty beverages include the Sea Turtle, a frozen blend of blue raspberry and lemonade, topped with a wave of cotton candy.

Remember when *gasp* Jiminy Cricket was out for that day? But then again he used to be out all the time at Rafiki’s.

If you read the fine print after the announcement that You Are The Magic, you will see that it is now your responsibility to provide the EARidesence

Kind of suck no actual events. I always liked those.

I was actually excited to realize we will be there for Earth Day next year. Admittedly, it doesn't take much. 😂

I really wanted more EARidescence.

You expected more than that?

Open Everest for the celebration…

That Flamingo cupcake has been there before. Like, within the past three months. Also, for the love of all things good, the character cruise thing is cute, but can't ANY of them EVER appear off the the boats? For a special occasion? Come on! Every other park has the indoor "Sightings" already! (Honeybee cupcake sounds cute, I will buy that.)

Some sort of specially-dressed up cavalcade and extra-magical cupcakes, it seems?
