Disney’s Animal Kingdom will close at 5pm on Thursday, August 28, 2025 - an hour earlier than its typical closing time for that week.

No specific event has been announced for that evening, but the early closure is likely due to a private park buyout.

Looking at the operating calendar for August 2025:

  • Most weekdays around this date have an 8am to 6pm schedule.
  • Fridays and Saturdays typically run later, with closing times of 7pm or 8pm.
  • The only other variation in late August is Saturday, August 30, when the park is scheduled to close at 6pm instead of 7pm or 8pm.
