On May 5, 2005 Walt Disney World begins the 18-month long "Happiest Celebration on Earth," a global salute to commemorate 50 years of magic at Disney theme parks worldwide.
The following shows and attractions also have their official grand openings in honor of the celebration:
Cinderellabration" located at the Magic Kingdom at the Castle Forecourt Stage: A live musical stage show in which Cinderella is crowned a princess during a dazzling coronation pageant attended by Disney's most beloved princesses. (Unofficially opens to Guests on March 17, 2005)
Lights, Motor, Action! Extreme Stunt Show located at the Disney-MGM Studios, Streets of America: A high-octane, live stunt show featuring specially designed cars, motorcycles and jet skis, with spectacular special effects. (Unofficially opens to Guests on March 14, 2005)
Soarin' located at the Land Pavilion in Future World at Epcot: Guests receive a bird's-eye view of the rich landscape and topography of California through a thrilling simulated hang-gliding (elevated theater seats) journey over the Golden State. (Unofficially opens to Guests on May 1, 2005 with the opening of the newly refurbished Land Pavilion).
