For those of you who enter Epcot by its World Showcase entrance (International Gateway), you may have noticed a large covered canopy on your left as you approach the turnstiles. Way back when this entrance was first opened, a tram service moved guests between the Epcot resort hotels and the Epcot International Gateway entrance. The tram didn't operate for long, and guests were then transferred to and from the park via Friendship boats or by foot.

The tram station canopy had been left in place, serving occasionally as a covered area for waiting groups taking part in Epcot events being transferred by bus. With the recent recovering of the International Gateway turnstile canopies, it looks like the decision has been made to remove the structure completely. These photos from a few days ago show the beginnings of the demolition, and as of today the structure is completely demolished.
