From today, some areas of WDWMAGIC will now only be accessible to subscribers.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why are you charging for accessing the site?
WDWMAGIC now receives an average of 1 million page views per month.
The increasing visitor traffic to WDWMAGIC has driven running costs to
a level that I can no longer afford as an individual. As an example, as of week
commencing 24/03/2003, data transfer is averaging 2MB/sec, which has a
bandwidth cost of $1500 per month.
While the advertising on the site generates some revenue, it is only
funding 20% of the site costs. The options available have come down to
closing the site, or charging visitors a small fee for the parts of
the site that they wish to use.
If I subscribe, am I paying for content?
No you are not paying for content, you are paying for bandwidth
(or data transfer). Bandwidth is the cost to WDWMAGIC for transferring
the web pages, graphics, sounds and videos from the webserver to your
PC.
If I don't pay for my usage of WDWMAGIC, what
will I be able to access?
WDWMAGIC Guests will still be able to access the whole website,
but will not be able to view large versions of photos, sounds and
videos. Please click here to see the specific features that each
membership plan provides.
What methods of payment are available?
Currently, only PayPal is supported. PayPal was chosen due to
PayPal's large number of existing members, support for international
accounts, and reduced risk to both members and WDWMAGIC. PayPal allows
you to pay with a credit card or checking account. For more
