PHOTOS - New monorail track spur nears completion

The first addition to the Walt Disney World Monorail System track since Epcot was added to the system back in 1982 is now nearing completion. The new monorail track spur, near to the Transportation and Ticket Center on the Epcot beam, will allow a maintenance tractor to be stored on this section of track to aid in maintenance and rapid response to a monorail problem on the Epcot beam. Previously, a maintenance tractor would have to be brought to Epcot all the way from the monorail barn behind the Magic Kingdom.
