Legends of Hollywood at Disney's Hollywood Studios is closing on March 1 2019 for refurbishment.

The store, located on the corner of Sunset Blvd., will be remodeled and extended into the former Planet Hollywood Super Store space. Planet Hollywood Super Store permanently closed earlier this month, although Planet Hollywood merchandise continues to be available at Disney Springs.

The expanded Legends of Hollywood store is expected to reopen in the summer of 2019.

I am only sad we lost the mural. But from a design standpoint this is an overall win. As for the merchandise - not my thing

FWIW it was jam-packed with people today. Felt very Beverly Hills to me.

To me, this shop appears to be more 1920s, art deco inspired than the previous iteration, which largely resembled a 1990s movie theater lobby (e.g., AMC) and kitschy, tourist shops along Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles. Throughout Walt Disney World, most shops display the same merchandise. I prefer the jewelry and accessories shop approach over another generic candy, mugs, and plush shop.

I think it looks quite nice. Much better than what preceded it.

Is this Disney World or a shopping mall?... ...oh wait, my local mall doesn’t charge me a $100 cover fee.

I like it and fits the glamor Hollywood theme.
