The Magic Kingdom's Crystal Arts shop is currently under an extensive exterior refurbishment.

Selling hand-blown glass figurines and handmade glassware, the Main Street U.S.A. shop is hidden behind a decorative scrim, but is open for business as normal.

TBH, there have been scrims for about seven years now. The construction could’ve been finished long ago. I still think your post is funny.

I think you will see a scrim-covered Main Street for the next few years as they start sprucing up for the 50th Anniversary! But I agree, it seems like there is at least one scrim up all the time! For God's sake, DO IT THE RIGHT WAY and leave it alone! Ruins my vacation--does that deserve a free admission to a WDW Park of my choice!? LOL

Not in this location I don't think. There's been a scrim on something on Main St. for the last 6 yrs or so.

This seems to be have been going on for the past month or so. This isn’t new right? I swear I’ve seen a scrim up on it the past few times I’ve went.

I was just going to ask the same thing. The good news is I believe they are Hardie Board (cement based siding and trim) for all the refurbs. We have it on our house and the color is baked on to the material. It is supposed to last 15 years without a repaint. The real neat thing is that it can't rot, which is key for Florida. But I would hope we are down to one of the last ones for the refurb.

I visit as often as I can, at least once a year, and I don't remember a time it hasn't had a scrim up over some portion of it!

Is there a timeline on having a 'finished' Main Street facade refurb? It feels like it's been going on for 5 years.
