COPYRIGHT 2006. THE WALT DISNEY COMPANY
The Seas with Nemo & Friends, a whimsical and
visually stunning attraction for guests of all ages, is scheduled to
open at Epcot in Fall 2006. Featuring technology that for all
appearances has the stars of "Finding Nemo" swimming amid the live
marine life of the huge aquarium in The Living Seas pavilion, the
attraction is an adventure that picks up where the motion picture
left off.
The undersea voyage begins aboard "clamobiles" in a colorful coral
reef setting. Guests first meet Mr. Ray and his class on a field
trip and soon learn that Nemo has wandered off.
The journey to find Nemo continues as familiar characters such as
Dory, Bruce, Marlin, Squirt and Crush help with the search along the
way. These deep sea friends inhabit a variety of vibrant vignettes,
including the actual aquarium -- one of the world's largest
saltwater aquariums -- which contains more than 65 species of marine
life.
In the musical finale of the attraction, Nemo is happily reunited
with his class and friends.
Upon exiting the attraction, guests can explore the rest of the
pavilion, which is home to "Turtle Talk with Crush," the smash-hit
recent addition featuring the movie's laid-back sea turtle, who
interacts with guests in real-time, unscripted conversations;
Bruce's Shark World, an interactive area with colorful graphics and
fun facts about sharks; and live marine life in both the large
aquarium and specialized exhibits.
23 November 2005: Living Seas reopens
The Living Sea reopened this morning at 9am.
Beside the relocation of the entrance whilst the main entry is still
under rehab, the other major change is that the inside has been totally
refurbished and repainted. Everything inside the main areas remain as it
was prior to the rehab, and the color scheme remains the same.

5 August 2005: Living Seas rehab
The Living Seas will be closing for rehab on
August 21st until late November 2005. During this rehab, it is expected
that more Nemo additions will be made to the pavilion, along with the
possible reintroduction of the omnimover Sea Cabs.
1 February 2005: Turtle Talk to be expanded

expanding by featuring other characters from Nemo. Testing has begun
using Dory.
16 November 2004: Living Seas Nemo enhancements
LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- Imagine Crush, the sea turtle from
"Finding Nemo," stopping mid-stream, turning to the audience from
his movie-screen undersea environment and saying, "Hey you -- dude
in the green-striped shirt -- what's that on your head?" Walt Disney
Imagineers have created precisely this kind of magical interaction
in "Turtle Talk With Crush" at Epcot.
The breakthrough experience gives Walt Disney World guests the
chance to engage in live, unrehearsed conversations with the
animated sea turtle from the Disney presentation of Pixar's "Finding
Nemo." From his digital world under the sea, Crush chats, plays and
jokes with guests in a unique, personalized way. The 152-year-old
turtle recognizes guests and asks them questions about themselves
and the human world in the first-of-its-kind live, real-time
animated show.
Located in The Living Seas pavilion at Epcot, "Turtle Talk With
Crush" is the latest milestone in Disney's legacy of bringing
characters to life in new and incredible ways. It represents
Imagineering's latest foray into real-time animation. Using digital
projection and sophisticated, voice-activated animation, Imagineers
created a new way for Disney guests to talk with this
personality-rich character.
The new show began as a prototype in the Research and Development
labs of Walt Disney Imagineering in California three years ago. The
challenge was to give guests a way to personally interact with Crush
from his animated, undersea world.
"The Imagineering team exceeded our wildest hopes, and "Turtle Talk
With Crush" is a magical experience that delights children and
adults of all ages," said Kathy Mangum, executive show producer and
vice president of Walt Disney Imagineering. "You never know what he
is going to say, and our guests will be enchanted and amazed."
"Turtle Talk With Crush" opens the door to a new realm of theme park
experiences -- one in which Disney guests and their favorite
animated characters can talk, joke and play together in a way that
only Disney can create.
Also new at The Living Seas: Bruce's Shark World.
Bruce, another of the stars from "Finding Nemo" (the one with the
memorably toothy countenance), is featured in an interactive area
that provides guests with photo opportunities plus colorful graphics
full of fun facts about sharks.
Bruce's Shark World and "Turtle Talk With Crush" are included with
Epcot admission and are presented during Future World operating
hours.
