(August 3 1999) Rock n RollerCoaster is the first attraction to receive the FASTPASS treatment at the Disney MGM Studios.

Following tests in 1998 at various attractions at Disneyland and WDW, FASTPASS is now under full deployment at Disney World.  Animal Kingdom was the first park to use the system.  Late July 99, Countdown to Extinction, Kali Rapids, Kilimanjaro Safaris and Tough to be A Bug began using then system.

Initial reports are very favorable - they systems seems to be working well, and wait times are almost down to none existent for those using the FASTPASS.

The ticket below is an example of a FASTPASS ticket.  On the left, the ticket indicates a FASTPASS is not possible, as another FASTPASS is pending for the ticket holder.  Thanks Robert for the scans!

The FASTPASS entry point and booth is shown above.

The guests have a choice of the Standby line (regular line), or the FASTPASS line.  If you choose FASTPASS you insert your pass, and receive a FASTPASS ticket with you allotted ride time.  When the time arrives, you return to the attraction and head through the FASTPASS line,  This line begins at the ramp and goes straight into the G Force Records lobby.  The Standby line is held at the bottom of the ramp, and guests are taken from this line to fill in slow periods of use for the FASTPASS line.

Thanks to Robert for the photos.
