Construction of the new bridge linking Disney's Grand Floridian Resort to the Magic Kingdom is well underway.

The bridge is being built on-site alongside preparations for attaching it to the shoreline on either side of the water.

Wonder how much longer it will be closed. They seem to be rapidly concluding exterior construction on Sago Cay.

This being closed is such a bummer - I was super looking forward to using this on my upcoming trip. I had been wondering why no one was taking it in some videos I was watching!

It’s not. The walkway is closed for construction in the outer building closest to it. It would be unsafe to have guests in that area now. Nothing is being done to the walkway itself. I personally witnessed the site on Thursday.

I wouldn't be surprised if the walkway was a pile of dirt right now.
