Jason Kirk named Magic Kingdom Vice President

Disney has named Jason Kirk the new Vice President of the Magic Kingdom, replacing the recently retired Dan Cockerell.

Jason is approaching 20 years with the Walt Disney Company, most recently serving as Vice President Transportation Operations. In that role he oversaw the introduction of Disney's Minnie Van service and development of Disney Skyliner.

Dan Cockerell's last day as Magic Kingdom VP was May 11 2018.

There is a very good interview with Dan Cockerall discussing his thoughts on MK while departing. He suggested Jason Kirk to be a great successor. As it happened to be... Good long interview on youtube posted this week I believe.

Interesting. TDO must know something that we don't to move him into the position of the busiest theme park on the planet. Even if the MK is flipped many times a day to hold that title of attendance it still barely is. I hope the best for him and to Dan and to the Magic Kingdom.
