"Characters fun... food nothing to write home about."

We usually sleep in on vacations, so we have never tried Ohana prior to our last trip. I have heard wonderful reviews of the Ohana Best Friends Breakfast. So, we agreed we would finally get out selves up early and try it. We enjoy character meals, we do several of them each year and accept that what you are paying for is the experience and not just the food. I have to say, I was really disappointed. And for the following reasons.
Our server was not friendly, or at least very fake friendly to the point it seemed rude.
We had to wait to long for coffee refills, and the waitress even made the comment that my husband would pay later for drinking so much coffee.
Other than the bread, the food was barely average. I guess I should have read up more before going. It was very generic and something I could have gotten at a local diner for $5 (except for the bread and waffles which were great).
The characters were fine and we enjoyed them, except that once we finished our meal we had to sit and wait another 20 minutes for Mickey and Pluto.
Based strickly on the food, I cannot recommend Ohana's Best Friends Breakfast.
Please don't lynch me Ohana Lovers, this is just an honest review.
"Maybe it was an "off" day"

We did not really enjoy the meal. It was family style all you can eat, but it was served lukewarm at best! The waiters kept "pushing" the Mickey Waffles, but all we wanted was the bacon. Our waiter continued to bring that, but it still wasn't quite hot enough. The character interaction was OK, but as I find for most character meals ( breakfast at least) you can be rushed unfortunately! My boys actually enjoyed the coconut races and the entertainment better at dinnertime.

WONDERFUL Food, good service and a GREAT time for all of the kids!
The Character Interactions are perfect and the kid involvement during the course of the meal really add to the fun!
Definitely a great time and a must do!
"great place to eat with Characters"

This is a wonderful breakfast. If you like something they bring you more be careful not to fill up on the bread becasue it is wonderful. Lilo and Stich are there as well as Mickey and Pluto. It is also nice to get different characters for a meal. The staff was very friendly and I can not see any reason not to eat here. If you are staying at the Polynesian it is the easiest meal you will have all trip. Pop out of bed and get great food and some pictures.

Though the atmosphere was nice and the juice was good i was not impressed with the experience. The characters seemed rushed and i found we didn't receive a lot of food. Left here still hungry.

"Great for a character meal"

I really like eating at 'Ohana for breakfast. The atmosphere is wonderful and the all-you-can-eat family style service is very convenient. My only "con" is that it's a Lilo and Stitch meal, and I am more partial to the Mickey & Gang for character meals.
