Sbandieratori Di Sansepolcro, the Italian flag waiving act, is no longer appearing at Epcot's Italy Pavilion.

Introduced in October 2014 as part of a widespread refresh of the park's live entertainment, the group performed traditional flag waving accompanied by live music, a ceremony dating back over 500 years in Italian tradition.

No word yet on a possibly replacement act.

Well now my Halloween costume won't make much sense.

I had the same situation before...The guy that was playing the tour guide during the show I saw looked familiar to me.. He was a WS Player... But, Many (like me) will remember that he played Otis T Wren at The Adventurers Club. Plus recently I saw him at Universal as he also is the Makeup artist at the Horror Makeup show.. I find him to be pretty funny and some of the stuff he does is Hilarious! :hilarious:

Saw one of them playing the tour guide at Flights of Wonder in AK.

Looks like the last day was 10/8 as far as I can tell.

I assume the new Germany band is considered the replacement

I'm sure some people will miss them, but the flag wavers were simply lipstick on a pig. They were brought in to gloss over the unhide-able fact that the Italy pavilion has no attractions, permanent exhibits, film or any type of entertainment except for overpriced restaurants and retail. It's quite a shame because the pavilion itself has such great architecture. If you are not hungry, what more can you do beside pass the pavilion by? Whenever I saw the flag wavers, all it did was remind me of how WDW management was unwilling to create/build some type of permanent entertainment. People have said it many times before, why isn't there a gondola boat ride?

Any word on replacements? Tell us there's something in the works Steve.

I agree it wasn't my favorite show, but I like having things like this around Epcot. The streetmosphere adds something extra to the park.

Still the most disappointing WS departure. I wonder what ever became of the troop.

Hat Lady is still there, minus the hats. Or at least she was last week (after October 1st). Carol Stein always delights!

And the Hat Lady if you were at the England Pavilion.

I remember seeing those guys performer while we were heading to the restaurant in the Italy Pavilion that actually made good quality pizza.

Still Miss the World Showcase Players....

Though there's no arguing the authenticity of their act, the entertainment was meh. I really miss the Ziti Sister's act. Not authentic, but enjoyable.
