The new show scene at the finale of Kilimanjaro Safaris looks close to being ready, with the majority of the finishing touches now in place.

We still don't know for sure what is planned for the area, but it is thought that it will become home to a new species of animal for the safari, possibly goats.

Some type of fencing is marked out in a loop around the building.

Guides on the safari have been calling it a warden's post.

In the latest Passholder Buzz, Disney released names of the 9 baby goats born in December - "What’s more precious than a baby goat? NINE baby goats! And Disney’s Animal Kingdom® Theme Park has got them all. Of course, with two sets of twins born on December 19, 2021, another set born on December 20, 2021 and triplets born on December 22, 2021, there was a lot of goat-naming to be done. And since you’re a Passholder, you’re about to be among the first to hear all about it. Obviously, being born around the holidays means you get a holiday-themed name. So making up the new kid kingdom are three males: Lou, Clark and Hans and six females: Cindy, Jackie, Sally, Ellen, Mary and Bailey. If you want to see these adorable Nigerian dwarf goats in action, hop aboard Kilimanjaro Safaris® and look out for the final scene."

There has to be goats in the Rafaki petting zoo area. I can't imagine a petting zoo without them.

They might want to give those kids an adult sized meal as disney is not exactly known for huge kids meals.

Yeeeeees, baby GOATs right in time for my March trip. I'd actually pay Disney to let me spend some time with those babies. Heck, my family and friends already think I'm weird for always dragging them to Rafiki's place to go pet the animals there

I did the Safari twice a few weeks ago (on different days) and both times, the goats were not out. So sad, I was really looking forward to seeing them!

I was so excited when the goats (no babies) were out during our safari!!! I had been reading they weren't out a lot of the time. If we were there now and I saw the baby goats 🥳🥳🥳

Disney posted a TikTok featuring the goat area on Kilimanjaro Safari. It has footage from within the new themed area, along with the names of the goats. Can watch it here: https://m.tiktok.com/v/6916241972428573958.html

I feel my apartment in The Netherlands is about the size of that jeep, though I would also like more stuff.

The fence is part of the theming. It is there to protect the domesticated goats from predation.

Nahtazu! I'm not very knowledgeable on the layout in this area... Is it possible that the fence is temporary until the goats have acclimated and then they'll be able to roam within a larger animal control zone and interact with the trucks?
