The store fronts along Downtown Disney's West Side are currently undergoing color changes as part of the redevelopment into Disney Springs.

We first saw Disney Quest get a new paint job a few months ago, and now D Street is undergoing a color scheme change to reflect a more urban industrial look. More buildings in the area will receive similar changes.

Take a look at the photos below for a comparison, and click the gallery for more photos.

Anyone know when the Starbucks on west side of dtd opens?

correction: looks super fun. It's fun if you let loose and dance down the street to the music past Bongo's and House of Blues like my family did :hilarious:

I don't know....it does nothing for me. I don't hate it and I don't love it. I don't see the point....pun intended. I guess it could be just a part of the sum and will hold judgment. Maybe it fits in the grand scheme. I want this project to be a home run sooooo bad. This in it self doesn't get me excited. is this original? Does it make me go ooooohhhhh ahhhhhhhh? It looks like a plywood cutout made in about an hour. It does have a certain Mary Blair quality to it.

Just based on the pictures I like it. The original looks like a icky salmon color.

I like it! The West Side is super fun at night! I don't think it looks bad at all

I don't know, I think it looks really nice. You guys are saying it looks dated, I think it looks super modern. White border lines, and monochromatic color blocking are huge right now. I think it's a huge step up from what was previously there. And will look really pretty when everything else is finished.

dreadful, this is Disney? :depressed: do not understand the love for the industrial look. that looks like something out of one of those 1980's strip malls.

Don't like it.. Blah looking... But, we'll see how it blends in when the project is finished some time by the year 2030 LOL...

I like it... very clean looking

Researched and found it is called 'mid-century modern' as opposed to the Splitsville style which is called (and I am not making this up) "GOOGIE"! Heh! Now I can sleep better. ~Wikipedia Rulz~
