AMC Downtown Disney 24 to be a launch location for cutting edge new Dolby Atmos sound

Dolby have announced that the AMC Downtown Disney 24 will be one of just a handful of locations around the world to be equipped with the new Dolby Atmos sound system. 

Described by Dolby as "The most significant development in audio since the arrival of surround sound".  "Dolby® Atmos™ delivers audiences a more natural and realistic soundfield, transporting them into the story with a lifelike sensory experience.".

It is speculated that "Brave" will be the first movie to be shown with the new Dolby Atmos format.
