A large area of land has been cleared between the TTC and the Contemporary Resort, and for any of you WDW history buffs, you may recognize this as being roughly in the area of the once proposed Mediterranean Resort. Before the internet runs wild with speculation of a new resort, we've been able to confirm that the land clearing is infact for monorail sight-lines.  The cleared area enables monorail pilots to get a clear view of a monorail holding at the primary hold point for the Magic Kingdom on the Express beam as they are driving towards Contemporary on the Express beam.
