The Backlot Tour features a guest participation segment, where a group of 4 or 5 guests are chosen to star in a special effects demonstration. Guests are chosen from the top of the queue ramp before the show.

Description

The Studio Backlot Tour, located on Streets of America at Disney's Hollywood Studios, takes guests on a tour of movie making. First up is the special effects water tank for a demonstration of green screen movie making and special effects. It's then on to a tram tour through the large scale sets and backlot area, including Catostrophe Canyon. The tour lasts for 35 minutes.
